Ink Mate 3 are a type of tag that was originally brought out by Sensormatic but there are other companies that make and sell them as well. These tags are very secure because they have a large cone backer that makes it almost impossible to get to the pin to cut it off. The newer ones have a super clutch locking mechanism that requires an even more specialized remover to get them off making it even harder for the shoplifters to remove them. Notice that the ink side is the side with the pin.
